Wandering Tours
There are various hiking, cycling, and geocaching tours in the area, suitable for both young and old. All tours allow you to experience the beauty of the Drenthe nature. Along the way, you will naturally encounter beautiful scenery, dolmens, and stories from the cultural history of Drenthe. Afterwards, relax on the terrace of Brasserie 't Boshuys with a snack or drink!
Cycling and mountain biking
Drenthe isn’t called a five-star cycling province for nothing! So, bring your bicycle or mountain bike. Drenthe is known for its extensive cycling network of no less than 1,200 kilometers. Along the way, you'll encounter the most beautiful nature, dolmens, and art & culture of Drenthe. And of course, take a break at a terrace with cake and coffee. Various cycling and mountain biking routes are available at the reception.
Canoeing
The Hunze River is a beautiful, calm river flowing through the stunning nature of Drenthe. Do you want to go canoeing? Just drop by the reception. Near the campsite, you can rent canoes and explore various canoe routes. In a small town called Spijkerboor, you can enjoy a snack and a drink at café 't Keerpunt.
Fishing
Fishing enthusiasts will have a great time at the nearby lake called Zwanemeer. The lake is teeming with fish, and you don't only have to fish from the water's edge. You can also fish from a boat in the middle of the lake. Enjoy the silence, nature, and the beautiful surroundings. At another nearby lake in the forest called Klein Zwanemeer, there's a large stock of carp. Whitefish and predatory fish are also abundant, mainly including roach, bream, bleak, tench, perch, and pike. For fishing in Klein Zwanemeer, you need a special permit, which you can obtain at the reception.
